ACCESS STATEMENT

We are located on A629 up a slight incline from the town. All our rooms are on the first floor and are not suitable for wheelchair users.

Pre-Arrival

  • The nearest shops are approximately 40 yards away.
  • The bus-station is 80 yards away. The nearest railway station is approximately 300 yards away. Taxis are usually available at the station
  • There are several local taxi companies; we can make bookings in advance.

  • Arrival and Car Parking
  • Please advise us of your anticipated arrival time so that we can be sure we are here to welcome you.
  • Parking is at the front of the house. There are two entrances to our house, one has five steps and a banister, the other has two, then a walk of 6 yards to three more steps to the front door.

Guest Accommodation - Public Areas

  • The hallway leads to the main stairs.
  • The hall way leads to a door which has a flight of stairs decending to the dining room.
  • There are 12 stairs to the first floor with a hand rail on one side of these stairs. The stairs are carpeted.
  • We have 3 guest bedrooms which are all on the first floor. There is a further four more rooms on the second floor, 14 steps up.
  • The house is centrally heated throughout but temperatures can be adjusted in each room to suit individual requirements.

Lounge and Dining Room

  • The dining room/lounge has a sofa
  • This room has a television.
  • The lounge is carpeted and the house is central heated through out.
  • A selection of local information is available in each room and at reception.
  • Breakfast is served in the dining room.
  • The dining room is carpeted.

Bedrooms

  • All the bedrooms are ensuite.
  • Tea and coffee facilities are provided in all rooms.
  • We also provide a hair dryer on demand.
  • There is a wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table in each room.

Additional Information

  • There is a fire extinguisher in the entrance hall, at the top of both stair cases and in dining room.
  • The building can be evacuated via the door at the bottom of the guest stairs in the entrance hall. We are happy to cater for special diets or any particular likes or dislikes. Please advise us of these before your arrival.
  • We are happy to refrigerate any medication. We can also keep any perishables in our fridge for a limited period.
